miniature quilts

I'm so excited!!! I'm making a series of miniature quilts for my mom's 90th birthday next month. I'm using old photos of her at various stages of her life. The first one is ano old baby picture of her and the second is mom when she graduated "normal School" with her teaching credential at 17. The third is in the works and features a casual snapshot of her at about the same age. Both of these need a little hand work to complete. Beading holds on much of the embellishment. They are turning out better than I expected.

Another RR doll leaves

Here she is as she arrived and as she departed. I built on her basic gown using her as a dress form.

Jacque's bag

I just made another bag. This one is for Jacque, another daughter in law. She didn't like the big orange bow on the other one so I gave her a jazzy smaller bow with some animal print in it. She can wear a pair of animal earrings and wear this bag with anything. I just have a little beading to do and it will be on it's way.

Another doll that is so fun to have around. But she is on her way to Canada and the next one is here.

Dolls for craft fair

Here are two completed dolls to be sold at our quilt club booth at the autumn craft fair. An easy pattern that is easy to sew and fun to embellish.

New projects

Not a bag this time. This is my first attempt at doing a Ricky Tims convergence quilt. I enjoyed learning the technique and will do another one soon. I am certainly into the bright colors right now!!!

I also made this cute little doll as a sample for doll group tomorrow. I still have to paint her face. We will make some of these for our quilt club booth at the fall craft fair which is our money raising activity along with an opportunity quilt which is given to the winning ticket holder the same day. But I did also cut out a new bag. LOL
