back to the jacket

I also added goodies to the latest jacket. The white spots are Saworski crystals applied with a heat wand. Notice also the ribbon flowers with vintage buttons. Click the photos to enlarge. I might have to keep this one, or not.

A hat mannequin

Well here we are playing again. This is the start of Gertie, the hat mannequin, followed by her auditioning her Mexican look. She still needs a face, hair, etc. She will be so fun to play hats with. ;-))

two new dolls

I have been soooo busy!!! But I got the dolls finished to go on a tote bag. It is from Peddlers of Danville, their 'Doll Maker's Luggage' pattern. I still have to make the bag but the dolls are done!! Whew! It's time to slow down a bit, I think.

Another jacket gets finished.

I finished this jacket for our UFO challenge. Like so many fiber artists I have MANY projects started and waiting to be completed. Our quilt club president, Linda, threw out this challenge at the start of the year. The items named on the signup sheet had to be finished by June 18 for our June meeting. I was so busy with other projects that I didn't get at it until last week. It took 3 days in seclusion to get it ready but I showed it at the meeting and it feels good to have it done!!!!!

quilt bracelet

I made the last piece for my mom's 90th birthday. It is a quilt bracelet with photos of mom and us 4 kids taken last summer. Each section is a tiny quilt with the photo and embellished with Saworski crystals. Of course it has to have a love charm also.

The hat

I loved making the hat. It turned out well so I'm thrilled. The doll will be sent Tuesday along with her hat.
