After MANY years as a frustrated wannabe artist I was able to begin doing IT after quitting my jobs in education. I did infuse the arts into my teaching at every opportunity. Now I dabble in the fiber arts as much as possible. I also enjoy being with family, reading, playing poker, walking my dog, Beethoven and teaching quilting arts and other areas of the fiber arts.

back to the jacket
I also added goodies to the latest jacket. The white spots are Saworski crystals applied with a heat wand. Notice also the ribbon flowers with vintage buttons. Click the photos to enlarge. I might have to keep this one, or not.

Another jacket gets finished.
I finished this jacket for our UFO challenge. Like so many fiber artists I have MANY projects started and waiting to be completed. Our quilt club president, Linda, threw out this challenge at the start of the year. The items named on the signup sheet had to be finished by June 18 for our June meeting. I was so busy with other projects that I didn't get at it until last week. It took 3 days in seclusion to get it ready but I showed it at the meeting and it feels good to have it done!!!!!
