After MANY years as a frustrated wannabe artist I was able to begin doing IT after quitting my jobs in education. I did infuse the arts into my teaching at every opportunity. Now I dabble in the fiber arts as much as possible. I also enjoy being with family, reading, playing poker, walking my dog, Beethoven and teaching quilting arts and other areas of the fiber arts.

another bag and unfinished doll from CIFI
I completed the purple tones bag today and now must quit making bags until I get caught up on other things like finishing my doll from the conference. Here she is and she really needs to be worked on!!!!

Creations in Fiber
Well I've been home for a week and still trying to catch up. That won't be easy as I have some other obligations and we are getting new carpet installed on Thursday in the family room and guest bedroom. Lots of stuff to move and in the way, too.
Here is the little dog that I made in Nancy Gawron's class. It looks just like my Beethoven!!! And the doll is from Mary Tressler's class. She is still only partially dressed but will share when she is done.

Off to Albuquerque
I'm off to Albuquerque to morrow for the creations in Fiber doll conference. Can't wait!!! I'm taking classes from Mary Tressler and Nancy Gawron and as many evening workshops as fit in and as much as my energy will take. But I chose to take a room with no roommate so I can rest and work as I wish. Yippee!!! I'm taking the 2 hot air balloon bags for the silent auction, too, which furnishes seed money for next year's conference. Til I get home------

bag and other posts
I just want to remind you that you can click on the pictures to enlarge them to super size.
All of my bags have LOTS of free motion quilting to make them sturdy yet light weight. They are lined with complimentary colors and every bag is one of a kind. Many of them are for sale. Click on comments and leave a note if you are interested. ;-))
