After MANY years as a frustrated wannabe artist I was able to begin doing IT after quitting my jobs in education. I did infuse the arts into my teaching at every opportunity. Now I dabble in the fiber arts as much as possible. I also enjoy being with family, reading, playing poker, walking my dog, Beethoven and teaching quilting arts and other areas of the fiber arts.

Oh no, not another one
I thought that I was done making scarves but another one just demanded to be made. I made somewhere between 40 and 50 scarves this winter and gave most of them away. I kept a couple as my own. Anyway, here it is nearly completed. It still needs some braid. It's folded so you can see the bottom fringe and trim that lays on the shoulder.
The last day of 2008
Well here we are wrapping up 2008 and welcoming 2009. Posting some twinchies that I did this month. These are little 2 inch by 2 inch miniature quilts that will be used on a doll to be auctioned at the spring doll conference (Creations in Fiber) in May. Of course you all know about my obsession with scarves in December but everybody loved them and we had the perfect weather to use them. So wishing each of you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!!!!

Linda's last small quilt
The December meeting is the end of secret sisters for 2008 so here is the last small quilt for Linda. I have made one for her each month and an extra because it was just fun. This is a photo of some of us on our way to a holiday luncheon. I'm in the middle holding the doll which is part of a traveling RR.
