After MANY years as a frustrated wannabe artist I was able to begin doing IT after quitting my jobs in education. I did infuse the arts into my teaching at every opportunity. Now I dabble in the fiber arts as much as possible. I also enjoy being with family, reading, playing poker, walking my dog, Beethoven and teaching quilting arts and other areas of the fiber arts.

Awhile back you saw posts of Joan's jacket in various stages. I finally got a photo of her in the jacket.

RR doll
Doll RR
I just finished my part on a new RR doll. I just love her hand blown glass shoes and head. Since I have her first I had to choose from many options in trying to make her into a Victorian lady as requested by her owner. Should I make Victorian under garments, or a fabulous plumed hate, or a fancy evening bag, or a filmy lacey blouse or a skirt to start her out? I chose the skirt. I couldn't hide those shoes so made the skirt shorter in the front so the shoes will show when she is hung on the wall. Of course she had to have a bustle. She has several more doll makers to visit so I can't wait to see her completed.!!! Here she is so far.

Bag, bags, bags!!!
I have been really enjoying making bags lately. Bought a few, too, from Wildabandonbags, Tanya too. Her bags are beautifully made and I just love them. She came to our quilt club to teach a new bag that she designed for us and named it for us, too. Sun City Chic. Isn't that cute??? Here are some more bags that I have made. Two of them are tte bags and the fringed bag is from Tanya's class.
