miniature quilts

I'm so excited!!! I'm making a series of miniature quilts for my mom's 90th birthday next month. I'm using old photos of her at various stages of her life. The first one is ano old baby picture of her and the second is mom when she graduated "normal School" with her teaching credential at 17. The third is in the works and features a casual snapshot of her at about the same age. Both of these need a little hand work to complete. Beading holds on much of the embellishment. They are turning out better than I expected.

Yvonne,
I just viewed all that you have done.......I'm tired! Where do you put/hide Irv while you are crafting, quilting, beading, sewing and doll making? You never cease to amaze me.I'm into the purse making too. I went to the Salvation Army store and bought a demin dress with embrodiery on it and made a purse (the first class Tonja taught). I used the embroidery both on the front and back. If Tonya teaches a new purse and it is open to friends, keep me in mind.I really enjoy the gals there at Sun City.
Well keep up all the "good work" and know that I think of you often.
Hugs, Louise
