After MANY years as a frustrated wannabe artist I was able to begin doing IT after quitting my jobs in education. I did infuse the arts into my teaching at every opportunity. Now I dabble in the fiber arts as much as possible. I also enjoy being with family, reading, playing poker, walking my dog, Beethoven and teaching quilting arts and other areas of the fiber arts.

doll from Adele's class
Adele Sciortino taught her costuming class here last month. We had to have the mannequin ready in advance and worked on the costumes in class. There were no patterns so each one turned out different from the rest. In addition she asked us to use fabrics and trims from a pile brought in and using colors that we would 'never' use otherwise. I'm happy with the results so far. Now to do all the fun embellishing and finish the hand work. Here is her costume so far.

This looks like great fun Yvonne. I love the orange colour. -Linda.
Great costuming Yvonne! Don't you love working out of the box! Adele's online magazine is so fun I would love to take a class from her! Love the pin too, it is gorgeous! The bunny is great too. Marge was in my old doll club. Her and Marsha Elam always came up with the neatest looking dolls.
