bag and hat

Some of you may remember when I made this bag that I'm going to wear with the newly decorated hat. I think that I better dress in neutral colors. What'da think? LOL

hat for high tea

Several of us are going for high tea at a wonderful tea house in Boulder City, NV. It's about 40 miles from our houses to the tea house but it is worth the drive. We car pool so that is fun, too. We are all dressing up and wearing the bags we have made and the hats that we have decorated. It's tomorrow so I just got my hat finished. Of course we will also shop at a Fiddlesticks, a great quilt shop, Periwinkle Cottage, a fun gift shop, Goat Feathers, a large antique and consignment shop. We'll need to burn up some calories so we will walk between the shops.

MORE FUN

These are sample scarves made using fleece and yarn on the (felting) Embellishing Machine. The participants will learn how to use the machines and make fun scarves at the same time.

the brides bag is done

IT really was fun making this bag for my granddaughter who will be married on July 12. I used 1 lace arm and satin from the train of a wedding dress that I bought at a thrift shop. I should say I stole it. It is wonderful and was sooo cheap. The bag is embellished with clear Swarovski crystals, lace, crystal handles, some buttons from the cuff and a big white rose. I hope that she likes it. I made it large enough that she can also use it as a special summer bag.

Don'tya Love it??

It seems like the day of the dead and the skeleton stuff is big right now and I found this fabric waiting in my stash, so a bag!!! I love it and the purple is perfect.

Nichole's bag

I'm making a wedding bag for my granddaughter who will be married next month. It's not a tiny bag but is made from a wedding gown that I picked up at a thrift shop for $10.00. I took one lace sleeve and a piece of satin from the train to line it. I used heavy interfacing to give it shape. Hopefully she'll be able to use it as a summer bag after the wedding. I'll post another photo when the bag is finished.

Here is the hobo bag from the wonderful fabric that my secret sister gave me. It sports a fringe, ribbon flower and citrine Swarovski crystals make it sparkle. A nice summery black bag with an attitude.

Another new bag

I got this wonderful fabric from my secret sister so had to make a new bag. It is completed with antique button. a bow made by Tanya Greb in a recent package from her, and multi-colored Swarovski crystals.
