After MANY years as a frustrated wannabe artist I was able to begin doing IT after quitting my jobs in education. I did infuse the arts into my teaching at every opportunity. Now I dabble in the fiber arts as much as possible. I also enjoy being with family, reading, playing poker, walking my dog, Beethoven and teaching quilting arts and other areas of the fiber arts.

the brides bag is done
IT really was fun making this bag for my granddaughter who will be married on July 12. I used 1 lace arm and satin from the train of a wedding dress that I bought at a thrift shop. I should say I stole it. It is wonderful and was sooo cheap. The bag is embellished with clear Swarovski crystals, lace, crystal handles, some buttons from the cuff and a big white rose. I hope that she likes it. I made it large enough that she can also use it as a special summer bag.

The bag for your granddaughter is beautiful Yvonne! I got to make my youngest daughter's wedding items last year. The hardest was the dress! Those brides do like to change their minds! LOL
